REGULAMENT SPECIFIC DE ORGANIZARE ŞI DESFĂŞURARE A

CONCURSULUI ROMANIA DANCE AWARDS SECTIA BALET ȘI DANS CONTEMPORAN

 

Cadru general

 

Art. 1. Concursul ROMANIA DANCE AWARDS este o competiție rezervată dansatorilor din mai multe stiluri de dans.

Art. 2. În această secțiune se discută modalitatea de desfășurare a secțiunilor de Balet Clasic si Dans Contemporan, scoli de stat și școli private

 

Etapele competiției

Art. 5. La Romania Dance Awards – Secțiunea Balet & Dans Contemporan, elevii concurează individual, duete sau grupuri, pe secţiuni, pe sexe după cum urmează:

 

DANS CLASIC & DANS CONTEMPORAN PROFESIONIȘTI – secțiune rezervată concurenților cu varsta minima 14 ani.

Art. 6.1. Grupele de varsta sunt impartite astfel:

Categoria 14 – 16 ani;

Categoria 17 si peste 18 ani:

Art.6. 2. Repertoriul de concurs la secțiunea dans clasic cuprinde:

  1. a) o variaţie din repertoriul clasic;
  2. b) pas de deux-urile sunt considerate secțiune separată și poate participa orine cu varsta minima 14 ani.

Art.6.3. Repertoriul de concurs la secţiunea dans contemporan cuprinde: o variaţie de dans contemporan.

Art. 7 La secțiunea dans clasic, durata unei variații nu va depăși 3 min., iar cea a unui pas de deux 12 min.

Art.8 La secţiunea dans contemporan, durata unei variații nu va depăși 3 min.

Art.9. La secţiunea dans contemporan concurenții pot evolua și în duet sau trio; evoluţiile în concurs, la această secțiune, vor fi punctate pentru fiecare duet/grup.

 

DANS CLASIC & DANS CONTEMPORAN AMATORI – sectiune rezervata tuturor dansatorilor incepand de la varsta de 3 ani.

 

Art. 10. Grupe de varsta:

Mini: 3 -5 ani; Kids: 5 -7 ani; Junior: 8 -12 ani; Adolescenti: 13 – 17 ani; Seniori: de la 18 ani;

Art. 11. Data de referință pentru a calcula vârsta este data concursului.

Art. 12. Pentru grupuri se va face o medie a vârstei care va determina categoria în care se înscrie grupul participant.

Art. 13. Categorii: Solo / Duo / Trio / Grup (maxim 30 persoane)

Art. 14. La secțiunea dans clasic amatori, durata unei variații nu va depăși 3 min., cea a unui duet 10 min, cea a unui dans de grup 3 min.

 

Art. 15. La secţiunea dans contemporan amatori, durata unui moment nu va depăși 3 min.

 

JURIUL

 

Art.16. Decizia juriului este finală și necontestabilă.

Art. 17. Juriul este format din specialisti.

Art. 18. Responsabilitatea corectitudinii desfășurării competiției și a evaluării probelor, la toate etapele, revine juriului

 

PREMII

 

Art.19. (1) La toate etapele etapele concursului Romania Dance Awards, premiile și mențiunile se acordă numai dacă evoluțiile au îndeplinit cerințele de exigență calitativă.

(2) Premiile se acordă în ordinea descrescătoare a punctajelor obținute, la fiecare secțiune, (dans clasic, dans contemporan, amatori, profesioniști) pe sexe, (fete, băieți) și pe fiecare an de studiu/clasă:

(3) Premiile se acordă evoluțiilor care se remarcă printr-o caracteristică calitativă deosebită specifică secțiunii obținând punctajul cel mai mare.

(4) Mențiunile se acordă în ordinea descrescătoare a punctajului, pana la pozitiile 4 si 5.

(5) Premiile speciale se acordă, dacă este cazul, pe baza unor criterii stabilite de juriu și comunicate concurenților înaintea începerii competiției, în ordinea descrescătoare a punctajului, pentru evoluțiile care au obținut evaluări deosebite specifice categoriilor „Premiu special“.

Art.20. În conformitate cu dispozițiile prezentului regulament și cu tradițiile concursurilor artistice naționale și internaționale, la probele din cadrul Romania Dance Awards nu se admit contestaţii. Deciziile juriului sunt definitive.

 

Alte precizări

 

Art. 21. Concurenţii se vor prezenta în costumul de spectacol potrivit cu rolul ales, respectând, pe cât este posibil, concepţia originară.

Art. 22 Concurenții își vor asigura acompaniamentul muzical înregistrat pe suport electronic, în condiţii de imprimare optime, unic pentru fiecare apariţie şi cu indicaţii de identificare.

Art.23 La concurs, este permis accesul publicului în sala de concurs.

Art. 24. Este interzis cu lichide pe scenă, confetti, bile sau orice alte elemente care ar putea rămâne pe scenă și ar putea pune în pericol buna desfășurare a participanților in concurs. După fiecare moment scena trebuie să ramână liberă.

Art. 25. Este interzisă fotografierea in culise.

Art. 26. Momentele, sau melodiile cu mesaje, cuvinte, costumații ori mișcări vulgare, cu tentă sexuală, vor fi descalificate.

Art. 27. Fiecare concurent, duet sau grup va avea voie sa intre în culise pe perioada repetițiilor cu cel mult doi instructori. Excepție fac grupurile mai mari de zece participanți unde se va suplimenta cu câte un instructor la un numar de 5 participanți în plus.

Art. 28. Prezența părinților sau a însoțitorilor fara acordul RDA este strict interzisă în culise.

 

 

URBAN & DANCEHALL 

PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES
  • Competition is open to all dancers, dance school or dance organization/club.
  • Multiple entries by one competitor in different categories or disciplines are allowed.
  • If entries in the contest are in the same discipline / age category, we award just the dance with the highest score.
  • All entries with Starting Permission have the right to participate.
  • We reserve the right to check the participants age and the number of registered dancers with the number of dancers on stage during the choreography

REGISTRATION

  • Registration must be made obligatory through the RDA website
  • After the registration is accepted and the payment has been effected, we will confirm the receipt and the Starting Permission will be given and sent via e-mail. Only dances that received Starting Permission can participate in the tournament.

  • Upon registration, the RDA gains all production rights. The unlimited rights applies to all filming and photography from the competitions, which can, in every respect, be transmitted per whatever media form (particularly per TV broadcasts as well as video media and online, via on-demand-services) and other interactive usages.
  • Changes in application form are possible within the closing date. No changes are possible, after this deadline only with penalty fees.

Penalty Fees:

Change to a registered routine after the deadline of the competition € 30 penalty fee

– Any routine that is added to the Starting List after the deadline of the competition € 30 penalty fee

  • If the participation is cancelled, participants wont receive any refund.

Solo- 25 Eur (115 RON)

Duo/Trio/Quatet 20 Eur (95 RON)

Group/Formation -15 Eur (70 RON)

DANCEHALL – 10 EUR (47 RON)/EACH CATEGORY

*Entry fees are charged per dancer/per dance

A competition is comprised of a Mini, Children, Senior.

AGE CALCULATION

For dances with more than a dancer, age group is given the age of the oldest dancer.

If the average age ends in 0.5 or greater, rounded to the nearest whole number (Ex. 10.5 to 11).

Exceptions:

  • Within the group / formation/ duo / trio / quartet, dancers are allowed to enter into a superior age category whatever that may be. Ex: MINI can compete CHILDREN etc.
  • In the event that, in group dancing a competitor who has poured more media group dance you to be enrolled in the category of spilled that has this dancer: ex group has Children ages and dancer exception is Junior: Dance need to enroll in Junior age category.
  • JUNIORS and SENIORS are not allowed to compete with MINI or CHILDREN.
  • in the discipline Production Number its allowed to have Performances with MINI, CHILDREN, JUNIORS and SENIORS.
  • If there is a discipline on a single competitor / duo / trio / quartet / group / formation, that dance has gone to a higher age category where it will be awarded.

DISCIPLINES

We have 2 dance division:

URBAN CHOREO DANCEHALL

TIME LIMITS

Solo 01:00 – 02:00 minutes
Duo/Trio/Quartet 01:00 – 02:00 minutes
Group/Formation 02:00 – 03:00 minutes

Exception:Classical dance numbers – the music may be longer or shorter, as per the original choreography but only with max 30 sec.

The timing begins with the apparent beginning of the dance and ends with the apparent end of the number. There is a time limit lenience of 5 seconds. (Production Number: 15 sec.) If the dance number goes over, or under, the time beyond the lenience limits there will be reduction of 10 points.

 

SCORING SYSTEM

GENERAL

  • For each criterion, there is a maximum of 10 points, for a total possible 30 points per judge.
  • The jury is comprised between 3-5 judges per dance.
  • The jurys decision is final and binding.
  • Dance registered in a incorrect discipline will be judged by the jury, but the jury operate deductions scoring

CRITERIA

  • Technical content: (meaning the difficulty level and number of dance technical elements)
  • Choreography and overall impression: (this means the composition, the synchron of the chosen music, dance steps and elements, the age of the dancer, the utilization of stage, thne dress, etc.)
  • Presentation: (this means the level of presentation, the dynamics and the personality transmitted to the audience)

PRINCIPLES OF ADJUDICATION

  • The RDA adjudication system in an informatic system.
  • Each items of those above are valued by each jury member on a scale ranging from 0 to 10.Each dance is adjudged always by at least 3(tree) judges on the basis of scoring criteria.
  • The jury members have the option, but not the obligation to make a brief written note about each dance disciplines judged.
  • The competition results are calculated automatically by a computer program.
  • Competition results are presented immediately after the award ceremony in the account created for each school.

JURY MEMBERS

  • The jury members should be highly respected because of their competence and hard work needing intensive attention during the whole event. No dancer neither any other participant may disturb the jury member during work. Any remarks or disrespect against a jury member will be penalized by the Competition Director.
  • At any time, the judgment of a jury member may not be altered by anyone except for the case of obvious mistake which should be discussed upon and corrected by the jury member concerned after the category.

AWARDS

Only the first three place winners will be invited before the public during the awards presentation.

Certificate:

  • The first three place winners are receiving CERTIFICATE (ONE for formations, small groups, pair/trio/quartet, solos).
  • All dancers receive certificate to atendance in competition

Trophies

  • The first three place winners are receiving Trophies(ONE for formations, small groups, pair/trio/quartet).

Important!!!!

  • Prizes rises just in the award ceremony.
  • We do not accept any other option.

MUSIC

  • The school is responsible for their own music (selection, technical condition and preparation). Explicit lyrics (insulting, racist and sexually offensive lyrics) are prohibited. Disregarding these rules leads to disqualification.
  • Music must be uploaded via the Registration portal when registering a dance. Uploaded music should be in a mp3 format and it represents one song. Deadline for music upload is 7 day till the competion start. In case the music is not uploaded, the registered dancers will not be able to perform
  • Delays and interruptions caused by not following these regulations will result in a deduction of 0,5 points from the dance numbers score.

 

GENERAL RULES

ORGANIZATIONAL MATTERS

  • By registering for a RDA competition, the competitors accept the official rules of the RDA
  • The competition committee may make inquiries, either before or after dance numbers, if the jury has doubts about the accuracy of the dancersage. The dances must be able to prove their age.
  • No signs or assistance from the trainer/guardian during the performance.
  • The schools/organizations are responsible for the accident risks of their participants.
  • 10 points may be deducted for the following:
    • 5 Sec. over or under the time limit
    • For all violations of the RDAs rules.
  • Unsportsmanlike and disruptive behavior during the event may disqualify the competitor, and, in extreme cases, the school/organization may be removed from the competition.
  • Trainers, as well as guardians and spectators, can be removed from the competition for unsportsmanlike behavior or for disrupting others.
  • Individual modifications are only possible with prior approval by the competition director.

ARTISTIC MATTERS

  • Definition Acrobatic: The body does not touch the ground (Salto, Flick Flack) excluding jumps and lifts.
  • Acrobatic and gymnastic arches, wheels, etc. should only used be when they are involved directly in the dance and must not dominate the number.
  • The competition line-up must be observed. Should a costume-change break be necessary, the competition director must be informed directly before the final round, and as soon as the line-up is known.
  • Competitors may take the stage after the number is called and proceed to their starting position. Competitors leave the state upon conclusion of the number and the final bow.
  • All performances, music, costumes, and styles are permitted, as long as they are not indecent or offensive.
  • The use of props is allowed, as long as the props are used directly in the dance and are brought on and off stage by the dancers.
  • Individual lighting effects, such as open fire or fire-works, are prohibited.
  • Creativity, originality of ideas and movements, surprise effects, and affective use of the stage are important elements in all disciplines.
  • Individual performances can only be judged in solo competitions. All other categories are judged at the group level.
  • Duo/trio/quartet dances should be choreographed so that the relationship between the dancers is evident.
  • Live-Singing is only permitted in the Production Number and Song and Dance categories.

PHOTOS, CELLULAR AND VIDEOTAPING

  • Flash photography is strictly prohibited during competition. Its possible with express RDA authorization.
  • Cellular phones should be turned off or vibrate mode while seated in the house section of the theatre/ballroom during competition. Cellular phone use should be limited to the lobby area of the venue.
  • Videotaping by individuals at RDA competition is prohibited. Violations will result in disqualify action of the registered organization/dancer. This rule will be strictly enforced to protect the integrity of individual choreography.

DISCLAIMERS

  • Any dancer competing in a dance competition takes certain incumbent risks. These include, but are not limited to, sprains, pulled muscles and broken bones. Participation in this competition indicates acceptance of such risks by performers. Therefore, RDA assume no responsibility for personal injury or property loss.
  • By entering a RDA competition and RDA workshop, participants (i.e. dancers, teachers, choreographers) give their permission to RDA to use their photographs, videos and/or likeness in any RDA promotional effort without compensation.
